28 Nov CME Ventures invests in cyber security firm
By Lynne Marek, Crain’s Chicago Business. Futures exchange operator CME Group’s venture arm has made another investment, this time in a cyber security software company with roots in Israel.
CME Ventures invested in Fortscale, a start-up that says it combines “expertise from the Israeli Defense Force’s elite security unit, advanced machine learning, and big data analytics to create a solution that provides rapid detection and response to malicious user behaviors.”
San Mateo, Calif.-based Fortscale is led by Idan Tendler, a former Israeli Defense officer and entrepreneur who previously led the cyber security business Elbit Systems. In addition to its California headquarters, Fortscale also has a research and development center in Tel Aviv. Tendler wasn’t immediately available for comment…
